Dogs struggling to find homes in rented houses
Thursday, July 17th, 2008Landlords of rented accommodation are making life harder for the nation’s rescue and unwanted dogs.
According to a leading UK Dog Charity, The Dog’s Trust, three out of every four landlords prohibit dogs in their rental properties, adding another complication to the number of unwanted dogs in rescue shelters.
An increase in the amount of people seeking rental accommodation has caused a rise in the number of pets being abandoned and dumped onto rescue charities, according to the Dog’s Trust. The charity would like to see more Landlords permitting tenants to move in with dogs.
