This little dog is a lively companion. They are elegant and playful but can be a bit nervous and shy.

They are intelligent and sensitive. The Chin loves being fussed and is friendly to everyone, including other pets.

The Chin does like children as long as they are not too boisterous as the dog can easily be injured if stepped on.

This is an excellent choice of dog breed for the more sedate family or elderly people.
