Hungarian Kuvasz K9 Obedience Dog Breed Summary:
This huge dog is intelligent with a dominant personality. They are excellent guard dogs and are not friendly towards visitors. The working Kuvasz would tear wolves apart to protect his flock of sheep.
This supreme working dog has not adapted particularly well to being a family pet. It is definitely not an apartment or a town dog and prefers to live outdoors in an open area with kennel.
The Kuvasz will guard their family and territory fiercely. They love children with whom they are very gentle but do not take kindly to being pulled around by little fingers!
This dog can be very dominant and needs consistent training from an early age by an owner that can be assertive and has a good knowledge of the breed and of reward-based training methods.
The Kuvasz is definitely not a suitable dog for the average family seeking a general household pet dog. |
