Miniature Pinscher K9 Obedience Dog Breed Summary:
The appearance of the Miniature Pinscher leads people to believe that it is a scaled down version of the Doberman Pinscher. This is not true although both dogs may have had a common ancestor.
This is a brave, feisty working dog that retains all its instincts despite being popular as a family pet. They can be energetic, friendly, ferocious and snappy, (the word pinscher means ‘biter'.)
They can be good with children and other pets, if they are brought up together. This is a big dog mentality in a little dog's body! The Miniature Pinscher is suited to an owner that has knowledge of training dogs and of the breed's needs.
This dog is certainly not suited to the novice dog owner. |
