To remain in top health and condition the Toy Poodle needs a daily walk but can also get enough exercise by playing games at home.
This dainty dog only eats small amounts and can be a fussy eater. Adhere to the recommended quantities and avoid giving too many treats.
This dog is prone to ear infections so care must be taken to keep the ears clean and dry. They can also have digestive problems and can suffer with heart disease.
The Toy Poodle is a petite dog that is elegant and lively. The head is long and the eyes are almond shaped. The ears are long, wide and hang to the cheeks. The body is small and square shaped and the top line is level with a slight dip behind the withers. The tail is traditionally docked. The Poodles coat appearance depends entirely on how it is clipped. The three basic styles are:

- The Puppy Clip
- The English Saddle Clip
The coat can be a variety of colours.
