Chocolate Labrador cross Border Collie: 'Flynn' |
|
Hello, my name is Flynn and I am a very dark chocolate brown Labrador / Collie cross.
I am only a puppy but I am growing up fast and I am now nearly 4 months old!
This is my story so far…
I was born on 23rd July and, along with my five other brothers, I was part of an unexpected litter. I enjoyed playing and running around with my brothers but I think we became a bit much for our Mummy as she began to lose some interest in us.
It was time for me to move on and I was in need of a good home.
My new Mummy and Daddy came to get me and I went to live in Bangor, County Down, beside the sea. I have a big garden to run around in and every day I go for these great walks to the beach.
I was from the country and I had never seen the sea before, and at first I was a little scared of waves as I didn't know what they were. But there is nothing more that I love to do but to run around on the beach and catch lots of seaweed monsters. I like to run around in the water and catch more seaweed monsters there, although I haven't been in far enough yet for a swim.
I am only 4 months so I'm probably a little young yet but hopefully it won't be long until I'm swimming. I watch all the other dogs do it and it looks like lots of fun.
My training, meanwhile, progresses well. Most of the time I am on my best behaviour, and when I make the odd mistake, I usually know I have done wrong and I put on my sorrowful look with large brown eyes.
I already know commands such as ‘Sit' and ‘Stay' and to come when I'm called and I can give my paw when I want a biscuit.
I have a lovely cosy kennel that I sleep in, tucked up with my favourite teddy bear. Some mornings, I am so cosy in there, I need to be woken up to go to the beach!
After a good run on the beach, I come back and have my breakfast which I usually devour in ten seconds flat!
It's a huge big exciting world out there and everything needs to be explored, investigated and given a good sniff! There are so many strange and exciting things down on the beach that require my constant attention – seagulls, waves, driftwood and seaweed monsters to name but a few.
After a hard day running around on the beach, there is nothing I like better than to curl up in front of the fire and fall asleep. After a busy day hunting the seaweed monsters, I give little contented puppy snores! Mummy and Daddy don't mind in the least as they love me very much!
